Museum JAN is a museum of visual arts with a special focus on glass art. The museum’s own collection consists of unique glass objects assembled by founder Jan van der Togt. He collected international top art, based on what fascinated him aesthetically. In addition to this characterful collection, Museum JAN offers a wide and appealing exhibition program.

Children get to work with clay, modelling their own head or object on a stick. Where Boris makes Roman heads, you might prefer to recreate the head of your favourite cartoon character!

Walk-in family workshop - 'Stampmakers' in Action!
Always wanted to make your own stamp? Come and stamp on it! Artist Boris de Beijer makes art that looks like it comes from the future, but also looks a bit like things from ancient times. How cool is that? Boris came up with a spiral shape and stamped it in liquid glass. What kind of stamp will you make?

Permanent collection
The basis of the collection was collected by Jan van der Togt with the advice of Jan Verschoor. Over the years the collection has been extended with acquisitions and thanks to donations. The collection’s main focus is on modern sculptural glass art from the 20th and 21st century. The cast and cut glass works from countries like the Czech Republic and Slovakia by artists such as Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, Vaclav Cigler and Bohumil Eliáš form an important part of the collection. In addition to the cast and cut glass objects, various other techniques are shown such as blown glass.
