Friendship is precious! Museum JAN is proud of its large group of Friends: they feel connected to the museum and follow the collection and activities closely. Their financial contributions enable the museum to realize various projects that would otherwise not have been possible, such as publications, purchases for the collection and educational programs for special target groups. Friendship should of course work both ways: the museum offers its Friends interesting benefits in return.

What are the benefits for you as a friend? You can be a Friend of Museum JAN for an annual contribution of €45 per year. If you pay a one-off amount of €450 you will be a Friend for Life. In that case you will receive a friends card that offers the following benefits:

• free access to the museum

• free access to previews of exhibitions (at least 3 times a year), with a guest

• free access to lectures, special tours or Friends meetings (at least 3 times a year), with a guest

• 10% discount on designated glassobjects in the museum shop that have been specially selected for Friends

• a digital newsletter (at least 9 times a year)

Museum JAN is looking for sponsors for educational projects, the expansion and preservation of the permanent collection and the organization of interesting exhibitions with special loaned works of art. The sponsors enable Museum JAN to maintain its collection, make special purchases, organize exhibitions with special loaned works of art and develop educational projects.

Museum JAN is a unique museum that receives no governmental or state subsidies. The museum receives a modest municipal subsidy and is further dependent on its own income from activities and donations. Your donation, legacy or inheritance will contribute to the survival and the realization of projects of Museum JAN. Large or small: any one-off or periodical contribution is more than welcome. It is also possible to set up a private fund (by name), or to include the museum in your will.

Donation law (the Netherlands)
Thanks to the Donation law, which entered into force on 1 January 2012, you can deduct 125% of your donation from the income tax. If you donate € 1,000, your deduction will be € 1250. If you fall within the 52% rate, the gift of € 1,000 costs you only € 350 net. Thanks to this multiplier, you can deduct more from your income tax than you have donated. In this way, you either owe less net, or you can donate more Platform BK without it costing you more net. However, there is a ceiling of € 1,250. With a donation of € 6,000, you can increase this with € 1,250.

Fiscal benefits (the Netherlands)
In the case of a one-off donation, a threshold of 1% of your threshold income and a maximum of 10% apply. These thresholds do not apply in the case of a periodical donation; in the case of an annuity donation of at least five years, it is fully deductible from your income tax.
