Lecture Wim Oepts and contemporaries by art historian Mirelle Nunes

  • Museum JAN 50 Dorpsstraat Amstelveen, NH, 1182 JE Netherlands (map)

Picture: Naomi Heidinga

Wim Oepts is a popular painter, known for his abstracted colourful landscapes. In the sun-drenched south of France, he found inspiration for his signature paintings full of contrasting colours. The exhibition focuses on the period Oepts worked in France. Art historian Mirelle Nunes will tell you all about this unique artist and his Dutch contemporaries. Oepts may be known as the painter of the sunny South, but he was certainly not the only one, or the first. Who were the artists that, like Oepts, were fascinated by the Mediterranean light? You will hear the answer during this in-depth art history lecture.

Mirelle Nunes

Through her company Kunst from Zeist Mirelle Nunes provides art lectures that tie in with current exhibitions. She will 'guide' you through the exhibition with the help of a comprehensive series of images. This will prepare you to go through the exhibition on your own. She also organises customised art lectures and tours of museums, art fairs and sculpture routes.
