On Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, the Story Parade will be making an appearance in Amstelveen! This sparkling story festival will be taking place in the Old Village and, of course, at Museum JAN. Expect a weekend full of relatable, funny, moving, and sometimes downright bizarre vacation stories—all inspired by the vacation experiences of Amstelveners.

Holiday romance

This year, Museum JAN will be showing the performance De Vakantieliefde, performed by Raf Stekelenburg or Nora Korfker.

Museum employee Janine has booked herself an all-inclusive vacation at a hotel with its own restaurant, drinks supply, and swimming pool with cocktail bar. After breaking up with her ex, all she needs is to float around on a pool float and drink gin and tonics. But then there's Miquel from Spain.

During the Stories Parade weekend, five actors will bring a total of five different monologues to life – all based on stories from Amstelveners. You can attend Holiday Romance at Museum JAN at the following times:

4:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. | Round 1

4:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. | Round 2

5:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. | Round 3
