How do you paint a still life of food as truthfully as possible? Get inspired by the hyper-realistic painting of Tjalf Sparnaay during this two-part masterclass and get to work yourself!
Under the guidance of an experienced SAKB art instructor, Edgar Jansen, you will learn essential techniques; like capturing textures to mastering light and shadow. During the first lesson at Museum JAN, we will look at the work of Tjalf Sparnaay and give you an introduction to the painting techniques needed to paint (hyper)realistically. Then the first draft of your 'food painting' will be put on paper. During the second lesson, you take your place behind an easel to work out your artwork. This class takes place in the SAKB, around the corner from Museum JAN.
