Sculptor Ossip Zadkine is inextricably linked to the Netherlands. His famous monument The Destroyed City in Rotterdam is for many the symbol of the war suffering. But Zadkine's connection with our country goes much further. Discover how Zadkine was inspired by Vincent van Gogh, and which works he made for Dutch collectors and clients, including Jan van der Togt.
Follow his life and work, with special attention to Paris, where he lived and worked for a large part of his life — in the middle of the vibrant artistic life of the twentieth century. A lecture full of stories, images and context — as a deepening of the exhibition Ossip Zadkine, Man, Myth & Metamorphosis in Museum JAN.
